AirPlay lets you take whatever’s on your iPhone or iPad and beam it to your Apple TV or compatible speakers.

With AirPlay, the content you have in iTunes is only ever a few taps away from filling your living room, bedroom, or entire house. That includes all the songs, albums, and playlists you have in Apple’s new Music app for iPhone and iPad. Best of all, you can engage AirPlay right from the Now Playing screen!
