Apple Music playlists help you discover and keep track of new music in iTunes in a whole new way.

If you’ve subscribed to Apple Music then you may already be familiar with the playlists curated by Apple Music editors. They show up in the “For You” and “New” tabs, and they include all sorts of interesting things to listen to. You can add these playlists to listen to them any time in iTunes.

You can still create your own playlists, Smart Playlists and playlist folders in iTunes just as you always have. But as you add playlists from Apple Music, you’ll see a new category appear in your iTunes sidebar called Apple Music Playlists. As the name implies, these are the playlists you add via Apple Music.

  2. Option-click on the name of the Apple Music playlist you want to download.
  3. Select Make available offline.
